Daniel Vasilevski (born September 4, 1981 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) is an Australian football (soccer) player of Macedonian heritage[1].

[edit] Club career

He plays as a right midfielder. Daniel has played for Carlton SC 12 times for 1 goal, Melbourne Knights with 10 goals in the NSL and Perth Glory in the A-League. Vasilevski has also represented Australia at Under 20 and Under 23 level.

Vasilevski was widely regarded as one of the most talented young soccer players of his generation and broke into the old National Soccer League as a teenager, earning a contract with Carlton Soccer Club and starring in the 99/01 National Soccer League.

When the Blues folded he moved across town and joined the Melbourne Knights and, when the A-League kicked off, he was signed by then Perth Glory coach and Liverpool F.C. legend Steve McMahon as part of the West Australian club's first playing list.

He also had trials with Belgium giants Anderlecht and Danish outfit Aalborg.

He returned to Melbourne and had been playing for Altona Magic in the Victorian Premier League before he signed for A-League outfit Melbourne Victory.
