On December 19, 2006, Rob Zombie confirmed that Faerch had been cast in the rock musician's Halloween remake as a young Michael Myers.[9] Daeg performed his own stunts in the role and said it was a fun movie to play in, but that he wouldn't see the whole movie yet.[7] People who did Daeg's stand-in work did not do stunts. Daeg's stunt double was for the most part inactive. In the Halloween commentary, Rob Zombie stated that the Ronnie White (William Forsythe) death scene used a female stand-in(used for lighting but not filming).[10] And a stand-in (used for lighting but not filming) was used for Steve's death when Faerch was in school (actors usually have a stand in for lighting). [10] His mother said that he will see the film later.[11]. Daeg did all his own stunts in "Halloween" and he did all his own stunts in "Hancock" too. He was lifted up by crane both on location and at greenscreen.
Faerch's performance as the murderous young Myers was met with positive reviews. KPBS said of the young actor:
| “ | Daeg Faerch is key in making these early scenes work. He delivers a truly chilling performance as a surprisingly sweet, soft and feminine looking ten-year-old Myers. His physical appearance contrasts with his brutal actions and it’s only in his eyes that you perceive his true nature. ... Faerch’s Myers can be like a normal kid one minute and a monster the next.

[edit] Upcoming projects
Faerch also has the role of Michel in the 2008 Will Smith film, Hancock.[13][14] He plays "a French punk who cusses [Smith] out."[7]
Faerch's other upcoming projects include the Christmas comedy Wreck the Halls starring Mickey Rooney as Santa Claus[7]; the drama-mystery-romance A Woman Called Job[15]; the drama Happiness Runs, starring Rutger Hauer as well as Faerch's Halloween co-star Hanna R. Hall[16]; the thriller Run! Bitch Run!, co-starring mother Mickey Faerch[17][18]; and the horror film Black Friday, in which he reunites with Halloween co-star Kristina Klebe.
At the 2007 HorrorHound Weekend convention in Indianapolis, IN, Daeg Faerch confided to Bloody Disgusting that he would like to audition for the role of "Homer" (originated by Joshua John Miller) in the remake of the 1987 vampire horror-Western Near Dark.[19]
Faerch and his mother also co-star with Lil' Romeo and Master P in the horror film The Pig People for release in 2009.[20] The Faerchs play pig farmers.[21]The film is about five film students who venture into the woods to shoot a documentary on the myth of half-human, half-pig creatures.[20]
