[edit] Age/Year of birth
Why does the birth year 1992 keep getting deleted every time somebody adds it. Daeg's mother added it to the birth date when she edited the article a while back. [1][2] It has since been deleted and added back and deleted again. If the subject's own mother is not a reliable source, then who is? I believe Mrs. Faerch is a reliable source in this case, because the article isn't biased and follows NPOV.
Also, if you don't want the 1992 birth date, then can I add a section regarding speculation on his age or something of that sort? I have found different reliable sources that list different ages for Daeg, everything from 10 (before his last birthday, which would mean he was born in 1996), 11 (since his last birthday, 1996), 12 (1995, as of his last birthday) to 15 (1992). And can I also mention how Daeg usually dodges questions about his age? He usually answers with "I'm old enough." (There's a YouTube video to back up this claim.) There's also some sources that claim that he is in the seventh grade. If I do this, I will stick to the facts based on the evidence given to me by these sources.
Thanks for your time. PF4Eva (talk) 00:00, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
There are two sites which give Daeg's year of birth as 1996: IMDb and another site was was formerly used as a source in a previous edit. So I guess his birth date is official. September 27, 1996. PF4Eva (talk) 22:55, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- I actually submitted the DOB to IMDb, believing whodatedwho.com to have posted accurate information. After seeing as nobody had corrected the info, I took it as official and decided it was reliable enough for Wikipedia. I guess until his officially official year of birth is confirmed by Daeg himself, we might as well keep the year blank. I don't know who submitted the info to ?D?, but I copied the info to IMDb and then to Wikipedia. I apologize for any inaccuracies and inconveniences. PF4Eva (talk) 21:24, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] pronunciation?
?
Does Daeg sound like 'Peg' or like 'Haig'? Does Faerch sound like 'fair'/'fare' or like 'ferret'/'Ferris wheel'? — kwami (talk) 03:10, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
- It's pronounced Day-g Fair-k. Daeg even said so on his official Myspace. Halloween-themovie.com says so, too. Rob Zombie and everybody else pronounces it Day-g on the Halloween DVD (in the commentary and in the featurettes and the bloopers with Daeg and Sherri Moon playing on the monkey bars at the Sanitarium).
