I'm not sure how you managed to think you could convert m/s^2 into km/h but any such conversion is invalid.

FWIW I think it's 9.8m/s^2 is ~127,000 km/h/h, but I don't think it's very helpful to do the conversion. ;-) - (User) WolfKeeper (T alk) 18:50, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

There are 3600 seconds in an hour. The acceleration of 1 g is 32.174 ft/s². If converted into miles per second, you get 0.0060936 mi/s². I just multiplied that by 3600, and got 21.93696 mph/s. Converting that into km/h/s using Template:Convert, I got 35.30411 kilometers per hour. Try it on a calculator or this type of template. I don't care what your stupid, buggy tool told you, there's no way to convert m/s^2 into km/h. Your units are simply wrong. This is completely basic. It could be km/h/h (km/h^2) or km/s/h or something, but that would be completely non standard; the SI units are the meter and the second. The equivalent english units are the ft and the second. [edit] Editing a template

Hi, I just came across this edit you made to {{Infobox Defunct Company}}, which I had to revert. (I'm really surprised no-one had done this already, to be honest.) When you edit a template, this affects every page that includes that template: in this case, that was 415 pages! In particular, if you change the template's syntax , (like changing "defunct" to "closed"), you need to change each of those 415 pages which have "defunct=XXXX" in them to read "closed=XXXX", otherwise each page displays an error. I appreciate what you were trying to do, but you need to be careful when editing templates! Best wishes, --RFBailey (talk) 04:46, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Welcome! Welcome to the WikiProject Roller Coasters Newsletter! January has seen a number of milestones being passed in the WikiProject. We've achieved our first good article, brought a portal up to featured portal status and successfully collaborated together on the first Article Improvement Drive, amongst other achievements. Let's carry on with the good work and continue bringing up the standard of all articles covered by the WikiProject!
Articles and Assessment We hit a milestone in January with our first GA-class article, Speed Monster! This shows just how easy it is improve articles by including references and increasing readability. Collaboration has got off to a good start, with the first chosen article, Arrow Dynamics, improving enough to reach B-class. The following articles reached GA-class or B-class quality during January: Speed Monster  • Arrow Dynamics  • Bolliger & Mabillard
Amusement Parks Portal The Amusement Parks Portal reached featured portal status during January! You can still nominate articles for the selected content sections on the portal.
Membership News During January the WikiProject was joined by 6 new members, bringing the total number up to 55. A very warm welcome to Etf, CPGACoast, RickMarkestein, Emackert, Onewayroad2home and Suttna08. The to do list continues to serve as a place for flagging up articles in need of attention, review or comments. A discussion is taking place regarding the best way to organise information about roller coaster records and the history of roller coasters. All members' opinions are welcomed; the discussion can be found here.
Article Improvement Drive This month's Article Improvement Drive: Roller coaster Why not start at the top?! The main article is already at B class and, with a little help, isn't too far away from GA class. Please see the collaboration page for further information. Any suggestions for March's Article Improvement Drive can be brought up on the talk page, so if there's a particular article you feel could benefit from more input then feel free to suggest it.

Thanks for uploading Image:MagnumXL-200CP2007.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
