Cory Schneider (born March 18, 1986, in Marblehead, Massachusetts, U.S.) is an American Professional ice hockey goaltender. He attended Preparatory School at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. He was drafted in the first round, 26th overall, by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. and is now playing for the Manitoba Moose

[edit] Boston College Eagles

In 2004-2005, Schneider played his first year with the Boston College Eagles in the Hockey East Association. He played 18 games with a GAA of 1.90 and a save percentage of 0.916 while finishing with a record of 13-1-4. He was named 2004 David Peterson Goalie of the Year by USA Hockey. During his three seasons with Boston College, He appeared in 97 games, compiling a college career record of 65-25-7. Schneider currently holds the Boston College Record for single-season shutouts (8 in 2005-2006) and saves (1,111 in '06-'07) as well as the record for most career shutouts. He posted a 29-12-1 record in his final season with Boston College (2006-2007), recording a GAA of 2.15 and a save percentage of 0.925 in 42 games.

On July 3, 2007, Schneider signed an entry-level contract with the Vancouver Canucks and later assigned to Manitoba after the signing of Free Agent Goaltender Curtis Sanford. He contended for and won the starting goaltending position of the Vancouver Canucks Farm Team, The Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League. In 2007-2008, Schneider's First Professional Season with the Moose, he posted a 21-12-2 record, with a GAA of 2.28, 3 shutouts, and a save percentage of 0.916 in 36 games.
