The Conecuh Valley Railroad (AAR reporting marks COEH) connects with the CSX at Troy, Alabama, and travels 12 miles to Goshen, Alabama. This short line railroad was created after 1996 from the former Southern Alabama Railroad (SUAB).

- Constructed by Mobile and Girard Railroad (later Central of Georgia) from Troy to Searight between 1870 - 1891. The line eventually connected with the Louisville and Nashville Railroad at Andalusia, Alabama. The Central of Georgia became part of the Southern Railway in 1963. The Southern Railway became part of Norfolk Southern in 1990.
The Southern Railway sold the line to Southern Alabama Railroad on October 31, 1988. It was under the control of the Abernathy Group. The line was later sold by the Southern Alabama Railroad to Conecuh Valley Railroad (Gulf & Ohio Railways) after 1996.
The track from Goshen, AL, to Gantt, AL, was abandoned by the Southern Railway.
The Southern Railway sold 8.7 miles of track from Gantt, AL, to Andalusia, AL, to the Andalusia & Conecuh Railroad in June 1983. All of the line, except two miles near Andalusia, were abandoned by the Andalusia & Conecuh Railroad on October 17, 1987. The two miles of active track are presently operated by the Three Notch Railroad to connect to the Shaw Fibers mill.
