Citerna is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Perugia in the Italian region Umbria, located about 50 km northwest of Perugia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,273 and an area of 24.2 km².[1]
The municipality of Citerna contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Fighille and Pistrino.
Citerna borders the following municipalities: Anghiari, Città di Castello, Monterchi, San Giustino, Sansepolcro.
