Cheriton, Hampshire

Cheriton is a village and parish near Winchester, in Hampshire, England. There is a pub there called the Flower Pots Inn, with a weekend campsite attached. It brews its own beer, which it also supplies to one or two other nearby pubs. The cricket ground opposite the pub offers a quintessentially English country scene.
In 1644, the parish was the location of the Battle of Cheriton in the English Civil War.
Cheriton is the closest settlement to the source of the River Itchen.
