Charles O'Bannon

Charles Edward O'Bannon (born February 22, 1975 in Lakewood, California) is an American professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins, where he was a star small forward/shooting guard, and a starter on the school's 1995 NCAA Championship team. He is the younger brother of former NBA forward Ed O'Bannon, who played with him at UCLA.
O'Bannon was selected by the Detroit Pistons with the 3rd pick in the 2nd round of the 1997 NBA Draft. He played for the Pistons for two seasons before being released. He scored a career high 14 points on April 14, 1999 against the Charlotte Hornets. Charles went on to to Europe to play for Śląsk Wrocław in the Dominet Bank Ekstraliga where the team won league championship in 2000 while O'Bannon won MVP honors. Currently, O'Bannon plays primarily in Japan for Toyota Alvark with former college teammate J. R. Sakuragi. During one of his breaks from the Japanese league, O'Bannon joined another former teammate and childhood friend Tyus Edney in (Treviso Italy) Team Benetton. There the two won the Italian Championship 2003. The Toyota Alvark's are the JBL superleague Champions. Winning in both 2006 and 2007. Charles being the MVP of the league and slam dunk champion 2007. Charles O'Bannon currently resides in Las Vegas with his wife and child.
