Toby Bailey

John Garfield "Toby" Bailey (born November 19, 1975 in Los Angeles, California, United States) is an American professional basketball player. He played college basketball at UCLA and was one of the stars of their 1995 National Championship team.
He was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round, with the 45th overall pick, of the 1998 NBA Draft. He played for the Phoenix Suns from 1999-2000 averaging 3.3 ppg. After his NBA career, Bailey moved on to play in Europe. He has played in Greece with Panionios BC, Aris Thessaloniki, AEK Athens, in Italy with Filattice Imola, and in Belgium with Telindus Oostende. After briefly playing for Köln 99ers in Germany, Bailey signed for Ricoh Manresa from the Spanish ACB in February 2008[1]

- All five of the starters on the 1995 UCLA national championship team played in Europe. The others are Ed O'Bannon, Tyus Edney, George Zidek and Charles O'Bannon.[2]
- He still keeps an off-season home in Los Angeles with his wife Tracy.
