Notability has been asserted; the subject is the highest all-time female money winner on the US television game show Jeopardy!.

Then mention her in the main article. Why would we need to have a full biography on her? ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 20:11, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Then why do we need a full biography of Larissa Kelly -- for the exact same reason? Andy Saunders (talk) 20:12, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

We don't. I would strongly suggest merging contenstants into the main article under a section --most successful winners or something in which you can summarize the best contestants and their achievments. Other than that they appeared on the show why would an encyclopedia want their biographies of their childhood etc... ? I'm sure there are many other people who shouldn't have a wikipedia article. ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 20:15, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

I think this mostly speaks to a difference between your views and the current consensus. In truth, I don't know that biographies of someone's childhood are ever all that relevant to whatever it is that made them notable, so I think that bringing that up sort of confuses the issue. The test shouldn't be "do I care about what happened to this person at 10 years old" so much as whether there exist sources about the person that provide enough information for an encyclopedia article. In most cases, I don't much care what happened to anyone, even, say, David Souter, during their childhood. Croctotheface (talk) 16:15, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
