"Sexual Eruption", censored as "Sensual Seduction", is the first single off Snoop Dogg's ninth solo album Ego Trippin'.[1][2] It is produced by Shawty Redd and Snoop Dogg sings most of the song using a talkbox through a keyboard similar to that of Roger Troutman.[1] The censored music video for "Sensual Seduction" premiered November 28, 2007 on MTV.[3] There is an official remix featuring Lil' Kim. Other unofficial remixes features Chicago rapper Yung Berg, Australian DJ Dirty South and Swedish singer Robyn.[4] On the issue date of December 15, 2007 the single debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 76 and has thus far peaked at number 7.[5] It is Snoop Dogg's fifth top ten Billboard Hot 100 single as a lead artist. BBC Radio 1 DJ Jo Whiley chose "Sensual Seduction" as her "Pet Sound" on February 25, 2008. The song was leaked in October 2007.

[edit] Writing and background

First Snoop Dogg heard the other fatboi produced single "Drifter", and was about to buy the song. At the time Snoop Dogg's cousin So So Def affiliate rapper-producer Daz Dillinger helped to mediate between the artists since he was in a good connection with Atlanta-based Shawty, who finally agreed to send him the rights but also offered to make an exclusive one for Snoop with a similar sound just like "Drifter". Daz also organized an audition meeting for them for the time when Snoop was touring to Georgia. Shawty Redd couldn't make it to the studio that one day, but conversed about the beat on the phone with Snoop. He sent a demo instrumental to Los Angeles but was surprised with the changes Snoop made because originally he didn't intend to use the talkbox effect on it. The tape was sent back with the vocals on it and Shawty started to play it in his local club.[6]
