[edit] Class

Ok, so this is rated "Start". Actually it would be more helpfull to state what exactly is missing. --Gereon K. (talk) 09:07, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

  • I rated it "B". I consider the article to be substantially complete, including all the details required. It is adequately referenced. It seems unlikely that it is capable of significant expansion, since more detailed references are unlikely to be available. That fits my definition for "B" class. It might not yet rate "A" class, which some WP:CHESS members say requires a formal review. My personal guess is that many wikipedia editors tie class rating to some sort of unstated length requirement, and automatically downgrade any article regardless of quality if it isn't larger than some unspecified size. By this way of thinking any relatively short article can't possibly be rated higher than "Start" class, irrespective of whether it is substantially complete and whether there are any realistic prospects for significant expansion. I think that is wrong. Quale (talk) 15:27, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
