[edit] Meager most recent?

Really? But what about the Tseax River Cone/Aiyansh Volcano, which wsurely has erupted since; or is it not "major"? Also what about even the Bridge River Cones, with 1500BP or maybe that was only a venting or single flow, not amajor eruption. Just wanted to check on the "most recent" thing; I would have thought Tseax/Aiyansh was.Skookum1 (talk) 15:06, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

It says the most recent major eruption. I know the others are more recent but those eruptions were smaller in volume not reaching VEI-5 on the Volcanic Explosivity Index. So more recent eruptions in British Columbia would have a smaller volume than Meager's eruption. Black Tusk 15:08, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
Hm, I guess I was thinking two villages destroyed was fairly major, plus a highly visible lava flow...but interms of ejecta/explosive power it's hard to beat the Cascade Volcanoes anyway, huh? I think in this article it might help to say, because of the similar name, that the Bridge River Ash isn't from the Bridge River Cones?Skookum1 (talk) 05:08, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
I guess you could say the Tseax eruption would have been a major lava flow eruption since it's 22.5 km long and killed about 2000 people and destroyed two villages, but compairing that to the largest eruptions on Earth it would be rather small. I think it would be a good idea to describe the Bridge River Ash isn't from the Bridge River Cones. However, I don't know why it's called the Bridge River Ash; discoverd at the Bridge River maybe? Yeah, it's thrughut the upper Valley andals the lwer (0 key nt wrking grrr), ie bth sides ff th Shulaps Range; whle area gne ver with fine t00th c0mb by ge0lgsts because f gld.....guess I'l get that key fixed huh?Skookum1 (talk) 06:48, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Type English words lol. Perhaps the volcanic ash at the Bridge River should be added to the article. I don't know the Bridge River geology that well, but I found out that the Bridge River Ash fans out east-northeasterly as far as westernmost Alberta in the vicinity of the North Saskatchewan River. The North Saskatchewan River photo looks like it has some of the Bridge River Ash. Black Tusk 20:13, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
