User:Black Tusk
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A longtime heavy user of Wikipedia, I had made a few occasional minor edits anonymously over the years. I finally decided to create an account on July 2, 2006 so I could contribute in a more substantial manner. Since then, I have made over 7,000 mainspace edits. Most of my Wiki-work involves creating Canadian volcanological and mountain articles, as well as updates. I may contribute to volcanological articles related to Iceland, Hawaii, Australia, Antarctica, and other regions associated with the Pacific Ring of Fire eventually, but for now it's more fun to write about those other subjects. In 2008, I helped develop WikiProject Earthquakes which now includes over 200 articles within its scope. The origin of my name comes from a sacred pinnacle of volcanic rock called Black Tusk in the Garibaldi Ranges of the Pacific Ranges of the Coast Mountains in southwestern British Columbia. I try to be polite and positive, but will sometimes come across rather curt. Don't take it personally, I just don't want to spend a lot of words where a few will do. [edit] Pages I refer to a lot
