[edit] Montblanc wiki entry

I am all for unbiased factual entries, which means 90% of what is posted needs to be removed. I am a collector of Montblanc pens and have been for years, and I assure you that what is being spouted on the wiki is completely inaccurate, which is why I have been trying to change it. If you would like to get together on this and help me correct it to your satisfaction and mine, I am more than willing. Please contact me at flea77 at swbell dot net. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Flea77 (talkcontribs) 06:15, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for the invite, but I don't feel qualified to work on this article. Reverting infringements on Wikipedia policy is one thing, but as I know nothing of the subject, I'm not the right person to ask. Good luck! --Bonadea (talk) 12:14, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] User:Dragyn07

Hi Bonadea. I'm not sure he/she deserved a warning for the edit on the Mujahideen article. To me, it looked like they were trying to reword a passage that didn't make a whole lot of sense, and accidentally added their signature to the article. If you disagree that's fine, but I'd like you to have another look if you don't mind. Thanks, take care. --Bongwarrior (talk) 09:45, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

No, you're right. I was being too quick in my editing there. Thank you for the gentle prod :-) --Bonadea (talk) 12:04, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] User:Rocky

Bonadea. You edited a resource and external link from 429(cannabis culture). I was attemting to add a resource/external link due to a definitive history re 420 truths and myths and a history/time-line re marijuana. Some of the site may be promotional re celebrating April 20th 2008 but the pages I tried to highlight are extremely informative especially re 420 and does dispel myths i.e Pulp Fiction clocks ( only 420 in Pawnshop scene ). The Time-line/history are also very informative. Please can you re look. I made mistakes trying to input the link - it is http://www.fourtwentyday.com/history_pt_1.html ( -PT_2.html for cannabis history . If allowed can you input. Thanks Rocky —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rocky Green (talkcontribs) 18:01, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] User:Jurismedia

I was wondering why you removed the link I posted. It's really informative about interest calculation even though it's on our website the article is not about selling our product.http://www.margill.com/Interest-calculation-White-paper.htm —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jurismedia (talkcontribs) 15:00, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Well, you linked to the same site, which you are apparently affiliated with, in a number of articles. You should read the links provided in the messages on your talk page (incidentally, only the second message there was from me - the first poster forgot to sign his or her message) for more information about conflicts of interest, and the external links policy. Thanks! Bonadea (talk) 15:06, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Swedish translation help

Hey mate, I'm currently working on Tyler Rosenlund and he has either played or trialled with AIK of Sweden. Unfortunately, I am a native English speaker and have no idea what the Swedish sites are saying. I searched you up because you have a relatively well grasp of English and are a native Swedish speaker and I was wondering if you could help me out. There are 4 articles I would like translated, at least the information relating to Rosenlund. If you are not willing, any advice as to where to go would be beneficial. The sites are as follows:

http://www.svenskafans.com/fotboll/aik/artikel.asp?id=153300 - I assume his initial arrival at the club
http://www.svenskafans.com/fotboll/aik/artikel.asp?id=153149 - A game summary?
http://www.svenskafans.com/fotboll/aik/artikel.asp?id=153115 - Probably a not-so-helpful game play by play
http://www.svenskafans.com/fotboll/aik/artikel.asp?id=152012 - I assume his exit from the club

Any information you could gather from these articles would be great. Of course, your assistance in any way is greatly appreciated. — GauchoDude (talk) 02:44, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Sure, I'll be glad to help out. Translations of two articles posted to your talk page. --Bonadea (talk) 10:36, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Sorry for the late response, some other stuff came up. Thank you for the translations and I will soon integrate this new knowledge with the article. You're a great asset to wiki! —Preceding unsigned comment added by GauchoDude (talkcontribs) 22:24, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Hi Bonadea

Thanks for the response. I am beginner at Wikipedia, so had problems. Going forward will see to it that I don't modify the page-content. Well my intention was not marketing a service / product, it was just to make the users aware about the options available.

I will take care, that if I need to add an external link I do it in the "References Section"

Thanks,

Bye

OK, thanks and good luck :-) --Bonadea (talk) 09:59, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Zecco Entry

On Social Networking Sites, I have posted a Zecco.com entry. Please do not remove link. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sabinspeiser (talkcontribs) 22:00, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

I believe you have received a reply about why the link is not appropriate, from somebody else. I should have posted to your talk page about that but was interrupted; sorry about that. In any case, before adding a site to List of social networking websites‎ there has to be an article about the site first. (And of course the article must fulfil the notability requirements). --Bonadea (talk) 10:01, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Off -page optimisation Entry

Title should be Off -page optimization rather than Off -page optimisation. I had added a value able article link in the external link section from http://www.saraswatisoft.com/seo.htm that is quite informative to new users looking for information about SEO. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mike22222 (talkcontribs) 09:39, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

I didn't change the title, and have no particular opinion about whether to use British or American spelling for the article. The external link you added was inappropriate per the external links policy. Thank you. --Bonadea (talk) 10:03, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Locate (finance)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Locate (finance), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Locate. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 14:25, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

You are right, dear bot; Locate is a dab page where somebody had added a section that belonged in its own article rather than on the dab page. I moved the text to a new article, Locate (finance), and then removed it from Locate. So it's no longer duplicated content. (Boy, you are one speedy bot! :-) ) --Bonadea (talk) 14:29, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Hallo Bonadea !!!!!!!

—Preceding unsigned comment added by Isa gajre (talkcontribs) 08:25, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Correct the mistake!

the Requestfill page is posted by someone else that i do not know, please DELETE the paragraph of RequestFill! I am the manager of the firm and I DO NOT want to see such mistake on Wikipedia —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.121.120.215 (talkcontribs) 05:31, April 4, 2008 (UTC)

It would be nice if you actually read any of the many comments than have been placed on the talk pages of the various IPs you have used to vandalise User talk:Deltadog63, including the talk page of the IP you used to post the above comment. There is no "mistake"; what you keep doing is removing part of a discussion about a removed article. If you are in fact User:Deltadog63 you could log in and remove the discussion entirely, but you should not remove legitimate comments on other peoples' user talk pages, and you should never, ever remove part of somebody else's comment. That is vandalism and will always be reverted. Please take a moment to try and undersdtand what the discussion you keep removing parts of actually says. --Bonadea (talk) 07:50, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Thank You

Thank you very much! :-) This person has been repeatedly vandalising my talk page complaining about some edit opf his which I reverted. But then, I dont remember reverting any edit of his nor do I find any such edit in his contributions list. But let me tell you one thing, I dont revert edits unless I am very sure that it is vandalism. Thanks a lot. -Ravichandar 07:05, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

i would just like to say that i live near Westfield Doncaster and i am very sure that i know much mreo about it than somebody from India, considering that is it from AUSTRALIA. He did infact remove all my edits which i think made the page very easy to read and i grouped shops together in a very good way. I am sorry taht i deleted his page, but i believe that he should also be reprimanded for remiving edits that he cannot comfirm are wrong and that are highly valid knowing that i have actaully read articles about Westfield and know much more about it. thankyou —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thfrang (talkcontribs) 07:09, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

If you thought his changing your edits was wrong, you should have posted a polite message about it on his talk page. All of us who revert vandalism occasionally revert something by mistake, and it's easily fixed; no "reprimands" are needed, just some communication to find out what's going on. I also know that it hurts to be accused of vandalism when you didn't in fact knowingly do anything wrong, but responding with personal attacks and page blanking just isn't a good way of responding. In any case I see that you're now communicating directly with each other, so I'm probably talking to myself here :-) --Bonadea (talk) 08:04, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WHAT THE HELL

what is your problem?

i dont want speedy deletion of my page and you and a few others cant respect that! and maybe if you were not on the wrong side of the fence you could help me get the band approved instead of trying to delete it

what good would it do you blocking me? your own selfish ego?

Thedevilishere (talk) 09:37, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

I and others have done all we could to help you with the article. If you don't want to read the information provided, there is nothing else I or anybody else can do. For the record, I'm not an administrator, so I can neither delete pages nor block you. Also, my ego is not involved in this in either direction. If you read the information I've provided for you and make sure the article conforms to guidelines, it won't be deleted, and I won't be even a little hurt by that. However, you seem to be more interested in starting brawls over the article than improving it. --Bonadea (talk) 09:42, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

hi i agree that people from other countries hav th right to edit, but i think that if they just edit for the sake of editing something, or without knowledge of the topic or place, it is unfair to the people that know the topic better because they are ruining the topic, maybe not purposely, but they are.--123.2.251.149 (talk) 04:58, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Centennial High School

Regarding the slogan.

Centennial is a hybrid school, while they have textbooks for certain courses (ie Math), they do not have textbooks for all courses, and encourage students to find other ways to reach their learning goals. To help students acheive the desired result, Centennial has purchased over 200 computers. Administration felt that it would be best for the school if the students came up with the slogan, and it changes with each graduating class. "Where Textbooks Are Foreign Objects" is the school slogan for the graduating class of 2008.

Regarding the principal.

When I called the school and asked to speak to the principal, they redirected me to Darren Ostrander and explained that he was the acting principal. Apparently Diane Field is either on sick or stress leave.

[edit] Get a life!!!

Hi Bonadea--

Honestly... do you have any life whatsoever??? You keep removing an external link I have added, despite the fact that it is relevant and furthermore, is not for profit! If you actually bothered to follow the link you would see that it is linking to a number of graphic design projects that someone looking for graphic design might find quite interesting. And, for the web awards page... does the once monthly award we give to the most creative web designer somehow not qualify as a web award?? And did you bother to notice that the website is free, with no advertisements even?

Please, stop deleting my link. And get a life. You sit around editing other peoples wikipedia entries all day-- I'll bet that's perfect fodder for picking up dates, right? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.222.23.241 (talk) 10:55, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

First - I didn't delete the page (I'm not an administrator), but I did tag it for deletion, and posted a note about it here. The important thing when creating an article is to establish notability, and provide verifiable third-part sources. Wikipedia:Your first article has some good information about what to think about. Also remember to avoid any conflict of interest. I see that your user name has been blocked, but in case you return with a neutral user name, please keep these things in mind. Good luck and have fun! --Bonadea (talk) 15:28, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Vandalism

"I'm sorry, but that doesn't make vandalism OK. Are you trying to prove that Wikipedia isn't trustworthy? You would find it extremely easy to find instances of vandalism to show your teacher, without making the problem worse for those who have to fix it afterwards. Just click the Recent changes list. Or are you showing how easy it is to edit, in general? If so, please make a constructive contribution instead. If you do make any more vandal edits, you risk getting blocked, regardless of why you made them. Thank you. --Bonadea (talk) 07:22, 20 May 2008 (UTC)"

The opposite, I'm trying to show that wikipedia can be trusted as a general information source. The general idea was that I would make a series of increasingly smaller, less noticeable edits, and time how long it is before any changes are reverted. Your response time alone is at least part of the proof needed. I guess I'll attempt to find another way to go about it. Bananawithjoy (talk) 07:30, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

You continue to disrupt user Spectacular1234 by making frivolous claims that he is vandalising. Spectacular1234 is a bona fide user making perfectly justified postings. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Spectacular1234 (talkcontribs) 12:16, May 28, 2008 (UTC)

No, your user page vandalism and personal attacks on other editors are not "perfectly justified". You (and I and all other editors) must stay civil, and I'm sorry, but you have repeatedly failed to do so. When somebody makes personal attacks, it is far from "frivolous" to claim that she or he is vandalising, and warn her or him against doing so again. --Bonadea (talk) 12:45, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] User:Revelation8

Why did you delete my IBN PM entry. The article was mainly about Professional Services methodology. And I am new to wiki and I don't understand how this entry is any different than other entries like @task or basecamp. If anything, my entry was the least advertising-oriented. Please help me try to understand. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Revelation8 (talkcontribs) 17:04, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

First, I didn't actually remove the article. Only an administrator can do that. What I did was putting a tag on the page to bring it to the attention of the administrators. As for why I did it: there was nothing in the article that showed why the product was notable, and it did contain promotional verbiage. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for promotion of businesses and products. The part about methodology was not advertising and was sufficiently sourced, but the part of the article that was actually about the product was not sourced - and since the product was the subject of the article, there was not sufficient reason to keep it. Both the other articles you cite, AtTask and Basecamp (software), include references to third-party sources that have written about the product. Finally, another editor (Truthbro), created several inappropriate articles about Mediachase products a few days ago, and also included inappropriate external links to the company, which made it look as if the company was trying to spam Wikipedia with inappropriate articles and links.

Please make sure that you read the information linked from the various notices on your talk page, because I believe that may help you understand the policies involved. Thank you! --Bonadea (talk) 05:49, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
