Bear Transit is the bus service operated by the University of California, Berkeley. The majority of the buses were formerly owned by AC Transit. In the early 2000s their buses were refurbished by AC Transit. The buses connect student housing with locations in the denser parts of campus with BART and more distant locations such as Lawrence Hall of Science high above the classrooms in the East Bay Hills.
