Balichak is a census town in Medinipur district in the state of West Bengal, India.

As of 2001 India census,[1] Balichak had a population of 12,206. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Balichak has an average literacy rate of 71%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 55% of the males and 45% of females literate. 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
