[edit] Jacob Conrad Shafer
This person from history seems to fail WP:BIO. The sources given seem either improperly specified, or unavailable to me; but from what is visible, I doubt that they contain substantial coverage about this particular person. While Google hit counts need to be taken with care here, zero hits on Google Books are not particularly promising, and Google web search only shows genealogy sites. It seems to me that someone is publishing their private genealogy here. B. Wolterding (talk) 12:39, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

- Delete and concur with above. Would reconsider if additional non-trivial source is provided. -JodyB talk 14:46, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
- Delete. I found the son describing the company before Congress as "a small packing house", I found unimpressive tax receipts amidst many larger businesses, and a few business listings. Nothing corroborating the claims of importance in the article. It does seem the company survives today, but longevity is not by itself notability. --Dhartung | Talk 19:23, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
