Hello, my name is Lucian. I'm 17 years old and I live in Bucharest, Romania. Well...you can see on the right what music, movies I like, what my hobbies are and much more weird stuff and below some information about my life.
[edit] SchoolI've studied at Dimitrie Sturdza General School Nr. 59, classes from 1-8. I had lots of good times at my old school. When I've finished school and went to high school I've found out that most of my old colleagues changed their life-style (in a bad way). But I still talk to my close friends and we meet every week-end and play football or just talk about the great moments that we had. Nowadays I'm studying at Eugen Lovinescu High School. [edit] Life in BucharestAs you can probably imagine, life here stinks. Good thing my neighborhood is pretty quiet, though in the last month some weird things happened, a lot of tension in the air. "Couldn't we all just get along?" I have lived in Bucharest for all of my life and sometimes I really want to leave it behind and move to another place (preferably another country). There are lots of gypsies around here, who are so full of themselves that they think the world is theirs. Romanians are NOT gypsies I hate the weather here, it hasn’t snowed for more than a day in nearly two years, but yet it’s still cold. [edit] MusicEveryday I hear manele coming out of an expensive car. Yep, gypsies loaded with money. The problem is that manele aren’t listened only by gypsies, but also by Romanians. Apart from manele, teenagers here listen to House or Hip-hop/Rap, because it's a "trend", it's "cool" .This word is very popular here, can you imagine talking about something in Romanian and then saying that it’s cool For example: - ‘’Ce masina cool’’ = ‘’What a cool car’’. In my opinion it's ‘’’NOT’’’ cool. I miss the 90's... [edit] MoviesNot too many people watch good movies lately. I'm strictly talking about teenagers, who watch Romanian sitcoms (which I never laugh at because the jokes are lame). I am truly surprised to see that they watch Prison Break, which is a remarkable show. The Lost series aren't quite watched by our high school students (I wish I was disagreed). [edit] Sports
 Romanians are football fanatics and it's common to 90% of us. About 50% of Romanian fans support Steaua, which is also my favorite team. But even with Gigi Becali, the most controversial person in Romania, as the club's owner I still support Steaua. The second most played sport in Romania is handball, but I'm not really interested in it. Basketball isn't so popular here and baseball (oina) almost doesn't exist. Romania still has a lot to learn, I wish there will be a Baseball league in the future, but time will tell. [edit] GamesFIFA 08 and Counter-strike are the most popular games in Romania. They are played by almost every kid or teenager. I respect people who play other games than the ones mentioned earlier. I'm waiting for the release of Starcraft 2 in February 2008. I'm a big fan of Blizzard and I know they won't let us, Starcraft fans, down. From what I've seen, videos and screenshots, it will probably be the best real-time strategy game in 2008. My all time favorite games are: Age of Empires I & II, Starcraft and tycoon games. But I also play other games which are worth the effort. [edit] Other stuffI wish one day I will live in the US. A dream of mine was to spend my childhood there, in the 90's, but I can't say that I regret spending it in Bucharest. I consider it the best part of my life, from 97'-03' years. I still keep in touch with my childhood friends, even though some of them moved away. I've visited the US (Georgia, Atlanta) in 2001 when I was only 11. I didn't know much then, only fun and games. I found Wikipedia on Google, while I was searching for information on a project. I've started editing on Wikipedia so that people who like football will know more about this sport in Romania.
