The Amharic Wikipedia is the Amharic language version of Wikipedia, run by the Wikimedia Foundation. It was established in December 2002; as of October 8, 2007, it has 2,994 articles, making it the 113th largest Wikipedia by article count. It is also the only Wikipedia language edition in a South Semitic language to possess over 1,000 articles.
