Airan is a commune in the Calvados département in the Basse-Normandie région in France.

A tower ruins is located in a hamlet close to Airan. An old legend says that a secret way connects this tower to the church of Airan, and that the gold bell of this church is hidden in this passage. Many people tried to find it, but nobody succeeded for the moment.
