~It should be noted that Metnal (one of the nine underworlds of Xibalba)is not neccessarily considered a hell. While the realm of the Mayan underworlds are depicted as dark and confusing places, they are not realms of eternal punishment. The interpretation of Metnal as a "hell" is a common misconception.

It would be far better to completely revise the information without reproducing the text of an external site.
