Just do OK

That sort of thing has no place on Wikipedia. Enough said.

MYOB its not your concern (M\1/I\2/N\3/D\4/Y\5/S)

Dear Mindys12345...

I personally don't find your signature 'uncivil', per se... you'll notice I didn't leave that comment. I do strongly believe in keeping Wikipedia easily navigable, which is why I think one's signature should have one's username somewhere in it! :) If you wish to have it as Mindys12345, the unstoppable vandal fighter or Mindys12345, the evil chicken from Pluto, that's fine! :p As long as your username is somewhere in it.

As for the joke banner, I don't mind a huge amount. For some contributors, they're annoying because we've seen the joke so many times :) But really, if you like it, keep it - if others ask you to remove it, though, it's probably best to.

Please don't feel disheartened by my comments. You're a very good worker, there's no doubt about that. I for one would hate to see a great vandal fighter or spam deleter leave, and I'm sure many would! Trust me... a signature is definitely not worth leaving over!

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on my talkpage. Cheers, Riana (talk) 14:07, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

OK! You have to forgive the oldies sometimes... they can get a bit grouchy after a long day ;) BTW stands for 'by the way'. Also, could you reduce the hand image above a tad? Had a laugh when I saw it though! :) Cheers, Riana (talk) 14:15, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Thats okay, the hand also been reduced User:Mindys12345

What is your telephone number, please?

Kindly reply via email to: supremelawfirm@gmail.com

Thank you.

Sincerely yours, /s/ Paul Andrew Mitchell Private Attorney General, 18 U.S.C. 1964(a)

Ya the link was great

I used it in my screen play that will hopefully be extended to a movie someday. I'm traveling a lot so I'm not on that much. I'll send you the play when I'm done. When ever that is. Thanks again--Wayne Neptune 05:56, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

Cronulla Riots article

G'day, Mindy.

Would you please stop reverting the Cronulla Riots article so that "Australian" is used as a synonym for "white". Australians of Middle Eastern background or appearance are Australian too and setting the article up so that "Australian" only refers to Australians of European background is tendentious and unencyclopaedic and perhaps even a wee bit racist. If you are unsure of how to use the term "Australian", please consult Australian nationality law.

I have tried to set up a compromise whereby the term "Australian" (civic) is used with a ethnic qualifier — i.e., white Australian, Middle Eastern Australian, Irish Australian, Greek Australian, Chinese Australian et al — which recognises both facts but a few contributors prefer partial terminology which implies Lebanese Australians and related groups are foreigners and that white Australians are the only true Australians.

Thanks for your consideration in this matter. Then again, I notice that the first thing on your Talk page is "Talk to the hand" so I don't hold out much hope of anything but anonymous reverts. 193.61.176.108 15:24, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Tourism in India

Thanks for your work on Tourism in India. looking much better. I've made some comments on Talk:Tourism_in_Europe. what do you think? Michellecrisp 00:51, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

My thoughts, I don't think Tourism in Europe is necessary because it's a huge risk of becoming a very large article with lots of links to other entries (a bit like the original Tourism in India). Michellecrisp 04:45, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
I'll add the above comments on the Talk page. I think it's a candidate for deletion not because it's not notable but because it's far too broad and overlaps existing information. Michellecrisp 05:06, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

Tourism in Karnataka

Hi Mindys12345. You are off to such a great start on the article Tourism in Karnataka that it may qualify to appear on Wikipedia's Main Page under the Did you know... section. Appearing on the Main Page may help bring publicity and assistance to the article. However, there is a five day from article creation window for Did you know... nominations. Before five days pass from the date the article was created and if you haven't already done so, please consider nominating the article to appear on the Main Page by posting a nomination at Did you know suggestions. If you do nominate the article for DYK, please cross out the article name on the "Good" articles proposed by bot list. Again, great job on the article. -- Jreferee (Talk) 02:26, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

I agree. If the content was created more than 5 days ago, the article probably does not qualify for DYK. -- Jreferee (Talk) 03:13, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Move of Karnataka tourism to Tourism in Karnataka

I have placed a formal request for this "Move", here. Thanks - KNM Talk 03:51, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

No. Not yet. It is still a redirect page, as of now, pointing to Karnataka tourism article. See here. Thanks - KNM Talk 03:57, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Tourism in India

Like it says on the talk page mate. Wikipedia is not an image gallery, even though all the other stuff looks pretty good keep up the good work. Another thing try to cut back on the images 04:28, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Man, you really nicely formatted that article. How do you know India and Australia same time? checkout "writing articles" below. Lara bran 07:34, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Thats OK
Me from India, I will contact you when i come to Australia for a tour :) Thanks for your contributions and interest to Indian pages. Your welcome is more attractive than mine :) Lara bran 08:10, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
If you come to south india dont miss Kerala backwaters, Ooty, Jog falls. Lara bran 08:18, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks a lot for your effort on Indian articles. I have added comment at Talk:Tourism in Andhra Pradesh, because this is necessary for copyright issues. Like somebody will ask where all these contents suddenly came from. I have given version from which that article is taken from, this is a good habit to avoid confusion to other community members. Thanks. Lara bran 05:37, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

I moved that article, but that may be controversial. quite possibly:(. [1]. It wont cause any harm to editing/improving. You checked out Kerala backwaters??Lara bran 07:08, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Kerala is called god's own country, i have reserved it for my honeymoon ;) I donno Australia, but do you have hill stations there? Backwaters is very rare in the whole world if i beleive it right. Lara bran 10:33, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

hill stations

India is much safe in law and order, politically stable. Kerala backwaters will have houseboats for rent, spas etc, you will find hill stations in Kerala itself. Hill stations are cool high altitude places(not snow cool) with greenery. Just staying there is fun, nothing doing, any equivalent in Aus? Lara bran 10:58, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Haha, dont show beaches. India doesnt have such beautiful beaches. No green colored nor shallow beaches available. But you can visit neighbour Mauritius for beaches :). gn. Lara bran 11:22, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
Kakadu National Park is nice. Even article is good, you can give this article for peer review - wp:pr, even Tourism in Sydney can be given for peer review, they will give "featured article" standard which is a "star" article. You submit these 2 articles for wp:pr.
Maybe its that australians want something to do or some recreation should be there for tourism. But Indians like "idling out" time in hill stations. So hillstations not developed in australia. Indians do more recreation in bedroom i think ;) Lara bran 07:21, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
If an article is "featured article(FA class)" then that maybe featured in main page also, in "today's featured article" section of wikipedia main page. Lara bran 07:49, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Re:Tourism in Madhya Pradesh

Hi Mindys12345 ! Thanks for creating separate page for Tourism in Madhya Pradesh. It is nice. We are planning to expand it. --burdak 04:49, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

good article

Featured article is difficult to pass, instead try "good article" that is WP:GA, see also criteria. Nominate the article in just 3 steps! here: Wikipedia:Good article candidates. Its easy to pass and they will give a symbol at top of article that is . Its much easier and you need not follow up much. Lara bran 08:19, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

You can nominate Tourism in Sydney, and also Kakadu National Park for good article. Procedure is simple. checkout above links. I had gone through your contributions, to see if you are active, and i redirected Malayattor to Malayattoor, this is better than deleting the article. Lara bran 09:46, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

That was a new user, he doesn't know policies. He should be told about policies about external links, too many warning for a new guest is not proper, hence i removed them. He created article Jobanjohn in mainspace instead of creating User:Jobanjohn. Next time when he comes he will know about all these. Lara bran 10:00, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

I have marked that article as {{cleanup}}. Some other users(maybe his rivals in business) will cleanup those links. Lara bran 10:10, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
There was no warning about images... i donno what images.. i removed only warnings of deletion of talkpage and a typo errorred articles. Lara bran 10:14, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
OK done. Lara bran 10:23, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

"You have new messages" in banner is a serious misdirection!

Your banner (reproduced) below is very seriously misleading. It appears to mimic Wikipedia message notification but points to the article on Naked hiking. You are welcome to your views on your talk page etc but this might be against Wikipedia policies on content. Please clean up the page.

Images

The images appear to be from the uploader's own website, and he's given them the proper GFDL release tags. If you're concerned, I think it'd be better to list them at Wikipedia:Images for deletion rather than tagging them for speedy deletion. Thanks, NawlinWiki 03:16, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

  • I don't think that the mere website name qualifies the images as "blatant advertising" under speedy delete category g11, which covers "Pages which exclusively promote a company, product, group, service, or person...". The images are not about the website, they're about various pieces of scenery. Again, I'm not going to speedy delete these. Take them to IFD if you want. NawlinWiki 03:22, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
