The A5 is a planned motorway designed to link the eastern part of Romania and the Republica Moldova to the Romanian capital city of Bucharest. It is planned to be 314 km long and will follow the route: Ploieşti - Buzău - Focşani - Albiţa > Moldova. Initially, the construction will begin only for the sector Ploieşti - Focşani, and only later, the remaining would be built.
