[edit] Pokémanics anon
If you are interested in Pokémon articles, you may like to join the Pokémon Collaborative Project, a group of editors who work together to improve Pokémon articles. You can help with our current collaborations (which are Pokémon and Marshtomp) and find out more information on editting articles, as well as discuss Poké-related information. We hope to see you there! Highway Rainbow Sneakers 16:56, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Pokémon articles
Right, first of all, thank you for the kind things you said, I'm just a regular user (you'll be able to join Esperanza soon methinks). Anyway, at May (Pokémon), the best solution to these problems is to remove all shipping comments and regards to May's age. They are purely speculation, and don't benefit the article. In regards to the image, I think AManInBlack removed it because it's too similar to the lead image (both images are artwork for the games).
Brandon (Pokémon)was redirected because there is like one on him "He's a playable character....". He's not in the anime, he has no defining characteristics, he isn't even called Brandon in the manga. So redirecting immediately methinks. Hope I've helped. Highway Rainbow Sneakers 14:57, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Freespace revert
Yikes!! Thanks for pointing that out, that was a total mistake on my part, I didn't mean to hit revert at all. I think what happened was, I saw one little bit of nonsense in there, then went to see when it was added in, forgot I was looking at an old version, then edited that one, effectively reverting everything else too. Don't worry, I had no intention of changing all those other things. -Goldom ‽‽‽ ⁂ 08:31, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Order in Freespace
Great work on GTD Orion, which should now serve as an example for the other Freespace articles. For a future project, maybe we could split Descent: Freespace into 2 articles to give Freespace 2 the proper recognition it deserves. GoldDragon 01:26, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
- Your work so far is fine. Initially, I thought that the FreeSpace wiki had already beaten us to the punch. On the other hand, most of the work there is not original since its rather ripped from the manual or techroom or spoilers, and it seems to function primarily as a strategy guide instead of an encyclopedia. I began noticing that most other videogame-specific wikis do this too, so that still creates a need for the original wiki. I might consider using the FreeSpace wiki as a reference for wiki articles, what do you think? GoldDragon 17:46, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
-
- Other Freespace wiki "strategy guide" material could make the transition to wikipedia ok; namely the guide's take on the GTVA Colossus's "spread out weaponry" translates to "good all-around ship" and/or "excellent against smaller ships, less so against equivalent vessels". I'll definitely be working on that today.
- Speaking of the SD Lucifer's characteristics in Freespace 2, I wonder if there is any way to make "lots of hitpoints" more encyclopedic, since that clearly sounds like a strategy guide? I'm not sure that hitpoints=armour. That is sometimes the problem when we try to put some semblance of the Lucifer's "history" in Freespace 2, the game designers likely put the Lucifer in for fan service (custom missions). Other than that, it doesn't make an appearance and there isn't much explanation to why the Shivans stopped making the Lucifer and/or its super shield. GoldDragon 17:53, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Query on removal of Pokémon images on May (Pokémon)
Fair use issues. See this. The same's been done with all the character articles, with the generic Pokémon images either being removed, or replaced with a screenshot of the particular character's Pokémon. cheers, The Raven's Apprentice (Talk|Contribs) 13:24, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Poké Ball
You made an error in this article on your revision dated 10 September 2006 at 02:41 UTC. In your edit, you mistook the Pokémon Seaking for the word 'seeking'. I have made the change where appropriate. -- A. Exeunt 02:48, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re. May's Age
Checked, and reverted. All the ep guide says is "May, a 10-year-old trainer". The point is -- Was it ever mentioned in the anime? If yes, and in that very episode, feel free to put the ref right back. But if not, that's just the same case as all those bios. Remember, the anime is supposed to source all this info. Cheers, The Raven's Apprentice (Talk|Contribs) 06:18, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, that is what I meant. As for the episode, being able to watch it's the main problem. Just watch it again, if you can, or forget about it. Someone is bound to see the episode and add it to the article. Eventually. Cheers, The Raven's Apprentice (Talk|Contribs) 14:04, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hello, hello
I can understand how it can be upsetting and such when you have the info and no one wants to listen. It's quite alright in the way you responded.
Now for fonts and colors in signatures... For colors, I go here. I choose the worded colors because it's easier to tell someone else what the color is. The code fo this would be: <font color="blue">WORD</font> . I used blue in the example but you can use any color you wish. This is what the example would look like: WORD .
For fonts the code is: <font face="comic sans ms">Comic Sans MS</font> . I used Comic Sans MS in the example. The result is: Comic Sans MS .
For both you can combine: <font color="blue" face="comic sans ms">Comic Sans MS</font> . Result: Comic Sans MS.
Now for a signature. In order for you signature to take people to your Userpage and such, you'll have to link it in the signature bar under preferences. So, let's say you wanted your sig to take someone to your Userpage, but you wanted the letter "t" to link to your talk page. This is how you would link it: A. Exeunt. This is how it would look: A. Exeunt. Note: the letter "t" is bold because this is your Talk page, otherwise it would look like the others. To add colors and fonts, you place the code after the vertical bar (|) in the links. So let's make the name in Times New Roman with a red color and have the Talk page link blue.
This would be the code: <font color="red" face ="times new roman">A. Exeun</font><font color="blue" face = "times new roman">t</font>.
And the result: A. Exeunt. Again the "t" is bold because this is your Talk page.
You would place this code (or one of your choosing, of course) in the signature bar under your preferences. Then click on "Raw Signature" and Save. You can create links to any of you sub-pages you have as well and use as many colors as you want. But the more links and colors you use, the longer the sig will look in "wiki markup" and could cause someone to complain. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Sorry for this long winded explanation. I hope this helps. -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 03:08, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:D3 Title.PNG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. [edit] RE: Descent
I can most wholeheartedly assure you that vandalism was not my intention. I may have the unfortunate habit of being far too sure of myself when I make edits, but I do not add misinformation on purpose. The games have nigh-identical handling, they are made by the same company, and the first FreeSpace game actually has the word "Descent" in its title, so of course I thought that it was a sequel to Descent. I apologize for my error and will make an effort to be more thorough when editing in the future, but I must also add that you did not have to be so rude when informing me of my error. [edit] Pokemon Trainer
Why the hell did you revert all of my edit when part of it was good faith? Images look horrible on the left side so I put the D/P one on the left, and the better description of the D/P one was a good faith edit. Why did you revert all of my edit instead of simply changing the Emerald image back? Tiger white 14:53, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
- Uhh, did you just say "Images look horrible on the left side so I put the D/P one on the left?" Anyway, you didn't put the image there, so I'll let that slide. However, the names of the playable characters in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl are not fixed; you can call them whatever you want. I can understand your good faith in that, but by putting their default names in the picture caption, you implicate that those are the only names for the characters. And, about the total revert, look at the difference between revisions; as per my statement above, combined with the fact that you replaced this image with this one, it would've been much easier for me to roll back to the previous version and do the cut & paste of the picture thumbnail for the playable characters of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, rather than to go to your edit, remove the names, then do the cutting and pasting of the picture thumbnail for the playable characters of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. -- Altiris Exeunt 12:30, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Technically, it isn't a talk page, and I already know who he is (blocked him for trolling/vandalism after that edit), but I appreciate your help anyway. :) How have you been mate? · AndonicO Talk 01:55, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- Did you even take the time to read the comment? You seemed to have reverted prematurely... I find that discussion funny. :) · AndonicO Talk 01:58, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, Arjun came back (but is only around every now and again). Also User:Majorly left not too long ago. Glad to hear Pokemon articles have been merged, there were too many. :) I think that Nazi accusation is a very strong personal attack, but with that comic he self-destructed. ;-) I've never met WarthogDemon, but that's certainly an interesting image. · AndonicO Talk 02:14, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- Well trolls are quite easy to deal with IMHO, especially when they've already vandalized, and received a Level 4 warning. :P By the way, the link to your talk page doesn't work: it's missing a period after the "A". · AndonicO Talk 09:13, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- Heh, it works fine now. What would we do without talk page links. ;) · AndonicO Talk 11:02, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- If you had asked me what you changed in your sig, I would say the period after the "A" over and over again, until you'd admit that's the only thing you changed. The minuscule and unnoticeable changes might as well by my monitor's fault for all I know. And where did you hear about these weird fonts/colors? :P · AndonicO Talk 12:01, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion of personal attack from my user talk page
Hi! The entry you deleted [2] had been there for a while and actually I didn't much mind about it. I'm sure anyone who read it would be able to draw the correct conclusions. But now that it has gone it can stay gone. Philip Trueman 09:59, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sieve WP:FPC
I noticed that your objection to the FPC was that it was too slow.. well BRIAN0918 created an edit that plays faster, so could you take a look at it and possibly update your vote? --frotht 18:34, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sea Monkeys...
...made a monkey out of me. Thanks for catching that one, and for not assuming the worst. I've left a note in the page history to apologize and explain the actual intent of my edit. Thanks again! --Ckatzchatspy 09:02, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 3RR
I think it's fine, but I got bitten in the ass by violating 3RR with obviously good intentions. THe admin who did the banning was very apologetic about it, too.—Loveはドコ? (talk • contribs) 03:01, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hey there
Hey there, been a while, yes indeed. I'm doing fine, and I'm also on Wikibreak for indefinite amount of time (I'm not giving up, I'm just busy), but I check my messages. Thanks for the congrats. See you round. DoomsDay349 17:11, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Victreebell?
I'd appreciate your input on a matter being discussed on Talk:Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl (anime). The issue at hand is whether or not Gardenia's Victreebell should be included in the article as one of Gardenia's Pokemon if it has not been seen. MelicansMatkin 18:08, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Infobox Dispute?
Eh? Whatever happened to that little infobox dispute? Oh, and I think that if Gardenia's Victreebell has been mentioned in the anime, then it should be added into the article. -- Altiris Helios Exeunt 00:35, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- That infobox dispute is on Pokémon Diamond and Pearl; my query on Victreebell was on the DP page for the anime. Thanks for letting me know though; I've re-added Victreebell to the page as consensus is against me.
- Gosh, I must seem much easier to deal with than V-Dash! MelicansMatkin 00:41, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
...oh wait, I've mixed up the game with the anime. Oops... -- Altiris Helios Exeunt 00:41, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Whoa, that's a lot of Wikipedia rules you threw at him. I want to do that someday. -- Altiris Helios Exeunt 00:44, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- I just think it's important that he learns how to treat fellow editors. We've all certainly treated him cordially enough, and yet he continues to throw abuse to all of us. He needs to learn the boundaries; have you seen what his actual user page says? MelicansMatkin 00:53, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
...that's a bit extreme, isn't it? I mean...you can say that rules are meant to be broken, but there is usually a reason to every rule. -- Altiris Helios Exeunt 05:33, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- Exactly. He's already been warned about attacking fellow editors, which he actually did on his User Page (he claimed that it was put on by vandals, even though you can see that isn't the case in the edit history). MelicansMatkin 12:21, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Hi. How did you change the font in your edit summary?--Gnfgb2 (talk) 10:00, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, wait. I see. They're just special characters.--Gnfgb2 (talk) 10:02, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Edit summaries
Hi! I saw your revert on Wikipedia. I'm not willing to jump at your jugular, but could you please avoid such edit summaries in the future? I mean that these just draw the attention on the vandalism edits :). Thanks! -- lucasbfr talk 10:10, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- It depends on what you call rules ;). Current policy and practices differ a bit sometimes, but we try to keep the delta at a minimum. As a side note, when I revert vandalism, I usually use "rvv" as my edit summary (ReVerted Vandalism). That's the best WP:DENY summary I can think of. Oh, and in case you didn't know it, WP:UTM has a handy set of templates to warn vandals without loosing too much time (I usually start with uw-v1 and increment: uw-v3, uw-v4, block/report to WP:AIV). woopsie!-- lucasbfr talk 10:34, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Note Gnfgb2 (talk · contribs) is a sock of hard-banned user Primetime (talk · contribs). Any edits he makes to the project can and should be reverted. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 21:52, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- Socks are an unfortunate byproduct of the open editing system. It's frustrating to be lied to or to be in an argument with someone pretending to be someone else. This particular user has been causing trouble on Wikipedia for years. If you spot any new accounts making similar edits please let me or another admin know about it. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 23:46, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Disputed fair use rationale for Image:GBA DragonBallZ BuusFury.jpg
Thanks for fixing it :-) I did not fix it because I wanted it to be deleted (mostly because I would like having all the fair use images I uploaded when recently registered deleted). And don't worry, more than 35k later, I will not do that mistake again ;-) Cheers! -- ReyBrujo (talk) 23:23, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Unblanking my user page and my talk page
Thanks for doing that for me; I didn't have an opportunity to unblank it at school today, and as soon as I finished I had work. I just got off now, so thank you very much for unblanking them! MelicansMatkin (talk) 04:52, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Ah Well
I knew that this would come sooner or later. Thanks for removing the references to self-published sources. -- Altiris Helios Exeunt 06:32, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- Was that sarcasm? A fansite does not qualify as a reliable source; the actual episodes should be what are referenced, not the fansites. MelicansMatkin (talk) 12:03, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
Eh? That wasn't sarcasm, that was resignation. Someone (was it you?) told me several months ago about WP:SPS. But I just don't like removing references. -- Altiris Helios Exeunt 00:04, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- I can't actually remember if it was me who told you about that or not. I know, removing the references is a huge pain. I'll try to add citations back in to the actual episodes though, so that at least the references will then pass WP:RS, WP:V, and WP:SPS. Sorry about the sarcasm comment, by the way. I'd forgotten all about SPS, so your last line seemed very strange to me. I'm glad that it's sorted now though! MelicansMatkin (talk) 00:57, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
