Pakistan has chosen to go back to basics for Season Three, with the recalling of 22-year-old Adam Khan as lead driver and Bobby Issazadhe as manger. Team Pakistan's 05/06 A1 season started off with an immediate impact with Khan getting up to 3rd position at the season opener at Brands Hatch against vastly more experienced drivers, though a stuck wheel nut during the pitstop put an end to a chance of a podium result. Further costly team errors occurred during races where Khan was in strong positions, however Team Pakistan managed to finish the season on a high note with a 5th place at Shanghai. In 2006 Khan took a break from racing, instead concentrating on his business studies course at King's College London.
Khan has pledged to wear the Pakistan flag whenever he races in the future, as part of an initiative to integrate Pakistan into the exciting world of professional motor sports, and has been officially appointed as the Ambassador for motor sports in Pakistan by the government.
