The 2nd and 3rd Class Sleepers are two minor characters in the original London productions of the Rock musical, Starlight Express by Andrew Lloyd Webber. They had one number: "Pumping Iron", sung by the show's baddie, Greaseball and four other female characters.

They are technically chorus, among the likes of the The National Engines.

The two characters are railway carrages, and their costumes where fairly simple, consisting of black and white and puffball skirt similar to Pearl's original London design and Dinah's Bochum getup.

They were played by the actresses who played Volta and Joule, two other characters who appear later in the show. They were cut from all later productions, as their number was moved to a later point in the show, when Volta and Joule were already on. They were replaced by these characters, as the dance was choreographed for six girls.
