[edit] Re: bitbotbotbot

Umm, you have blocked my account and I cannot work out any way of getting it unblocked. Could you please explain? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.185.69.130 (talkcontribs)

As I noted in the edit summary, WP:USERNAME expressly prohibits user accounts that suggest the user is a bot. Sorry, but you must register with a new user name. RadioKirk (u|t|c) 13:55, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
I did indeed "address the problem" within the message originally left for you: "For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username. In many cases (especially if your account has few or no edits), it is a lot easier to create a new account." Changing your user name and keeping your edits requires assistance that only a small handful of people can provide, as explained here; conversely, as you had only a small number of edits to your credit, registering a new user name is, as noted, the easier option. That can only be dealt with by the few who patrol that page, sorry—that's not within the abilities given the rest of us. Bottom line, though: you cannot use that name, as you no doubt realize. RadioKirk (u|t|c) 01:13, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome!

Since you haven't been welcomed yet...

Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. For one thing, if you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome!
