School IP address Attention:

This host, guardian2.ccc.edu, is registered to City Colleges of Chicago and may be shared by multiple users of an educational institution. If the institution uses proxy servers, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason a message intended for one person may be received by another. Similarly an innocent user may be blocked for another user's vandalism. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism; if so, please read our advice on this situation.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider a soft block with the template {{schoolblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of persistent vandalism from this IP address, anonymous editing may be disabled for up to 1 year at a time. Abuse reports may also be forwarded to your school administration for investigation.
School staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.

  1. Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, 216.125.49.252! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule \bfreewebs\.com\/.+, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links guidelines for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! 5. If you continue down the road you are on at Flood geology and other articles, reverting and violating rules, you will end up with your IP address blocked, and possibly neighboring IP addresses blocked as well. You might not find this helpful, being at a major teaching institution.--Filll 16:54, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

  7. As you already know 3RR does not apply to correcting vandalismThis is clearly a bogus filing to sideline or intimidate those who've opposed your vandalism of that article. It is simply a misuse of process, an attempt to game the system. I suggest you withdraw it or it will be counted toward your pattern of disruption. Odd nature 20:11, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
This anonymous user is removing valid tags and sourced material. That's vandalism, especially if s/he doesn't bother to explain the reason for the deletion, either in the talk page or edit summary. However, since those disruptive edits, this user has been constructive (or so it seems to me), explaining edits and making improvements, although I detect a non-neutral bias that warrants vigilance. -Amatulic 21:40, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
I don't necessarily detect a bias, but I do think all of today's edits need to be sourced (cited, referenced) properly. While I'm pretty sure the edits are correct and state the facts, they are still OR at this point. •Jim62sch• 22:24, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] December 2007

Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. For one thing, if you edit without a username, your IP address (216.125.49.252) is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome!

Someone from this IP address recently reverted vandalism on Crocodile; thank you for doing that! Many registered users have Crocodile on our watch lists, so we would have found and reverted that vandalism soon, but thank you so much for getting to it first. A reversion of vandalism doesn't really need a talk page entry, but in the future when you want to bring something up on a talk page, please create a new subheading (click the "+" next to "edit this page" or simply type ==Heading==) at the bottom of the page and put your comment below. Enuja (talk) 00:22, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy due to persistent vandalism originating from your proxy server or network. If you have a registered Wikipedia username, you may log in and continue to edit. Otherwise, once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you wish to contribute to this encyclopedia, please create an account at home and log in with it here.

Due to persistent vandalism (see edit log), editing by anonymous users from your school, library or institution's IP address may be currently disabled. You continue to have full access to read the encyclopedia. If you are logged in but still unable to edit, please follow these instructions. To prevent abuse, account creation via this IP address is probably also disabled.

If accounts need to be created at school for class projects, please have your teacher or network administrator contact us (with reference to this IP address) at unblock-en-l from an email address listed on your school's website. Alternatively, if you have no Internet access at home, you may email us using your school-issued email address, telling us your preferred username. An account will be created for you. Please check on this list that the username you choose has not already been taken.

Thank you. — Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 23:26, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
