[edit] Regarding edits made during October 18, 2007

Please do not delete content from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Virender Sehwag. Your edits do not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox for test edits. Thank you. If this is an IP address, and it is shared by multiple users, ignore this warning if you did not make any unconstructive edits. ~ Riana 12:19, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] April 2008

Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Koppal district. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. --Rockliffe (talk) 11:51, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Right, I'm all ears: why do you think it's ok simply to paste in text from websites which don't indicate they have a GFDL-compatible license? --Rockliffe (talk) 12:44, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

The recent edit you made to Koppal district constitutes vandalism, and has been reverted. Please do not continue to vandalize pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thanks. Stwalkerstertalk ] 13:53, 1 April 2008 (UTC))

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Lakkundi, you will be blocked from editing. --Rockliffe (talk) 16:23, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Copy and paste

Seriously, what is the deal with pasting in text from external sites and other Wikipedia articles? Why are you doing this? --Rockliffe (talk) 16:52, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

I'll try again: please do not simply past in text from external sites. It's a violation of copyright if permission has not been given. Furthermore, pasting in text from other Wikipedia articles without saying where it's come from is also a violation of the GFDL, as it doesn't give attribution to past editors.
Please, I urge you to stop this copy-and-paste approach to editing. --Rockliffe (talk) 09:32, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Karnataka

Hello, I have reverted your edits to Karnataka article, and thought I need to explain why I did so. First, Karnataka article is a featured article, means it is one of the Wikipedia's best works. It has achieved featured status, through a collaboration of several editors, over several weeks. Any major changes to the article need to be discussed in the talk page first, so as to provide an opportunity for other editors of that article to weigh in about those major changes. Especially, in this case, you have added a whole new section, and a paragraph on D.R. Bendre. Please note, this is a summary style article, and the article is, at the moment, in a highly compressed format, showing only the summary of *most important aspects* related to Karnataka state. I hope this clarifies. Thank you for your interest and contributions. Happy Editing. - KNM Talk 14:31, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
