The 1980 Formula One season included the 31st FIA Formula One World Championship season, which commenced on January 13, 1980, and ended on October 5 after fourteen races. Although not counting towards the World Championship, the Spanish Grand Prix was also run, on June 1, and was won by Alan Jones in a Williams, marking the team's first of many constructors and drivers championships.
