The St. Louis Cardinals 1975 season was the team's 94th season in St. Louis, Missouri and the 84th season in the National League. The Cardinals went 82-80 during the season and finished in a tie for third (with the New York Mets) in the National League East, 10½ games behind the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Third baseman Ken Reitz won a Gold Glove this year. Pitcher Bob Gibson played in his final MLB season in '75.

  • November 18, 1974: Nate Colbert of the San Diego Padres was traded as part of a 3-team trade by the San Diego Padres to the Detroit Tigers. The San Diego Padres sent a player to be named later to the St. Louis Cardinals. The Detroit Tigers sent Bob Strampe and Dick Sharon to the San Diego Padres. The Detroit Tigers sent Ed Brinkman to the St. Louis Cardinals. The St. Louis Cardinals sent Alan Foster, Rich Folkers, and Sonny Siebert to the San Diego Padres. The San Diego Padres sent Danny Breeden (December 12, 1974) to the St. Louis Cardinals to complete the trade.
