Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. DuncanHill 08:55, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Warning

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism and are immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. -- Infrogmation 11:28, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] November 2007

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to GameFAQs. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. -- LAX 01:59, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make any unconstructive edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant warnings.

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 02:01, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to GameFAQs, you will be blocked from editing. --Hdt83 Chat 02:01, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Heading for a Reference Desk query

Hello! I noticed your query on the Language Reference Desk was added to the end of the preceding one. For the sake of clarity and to help generate responses, I added the heading Sponsored run? (possibly related to the answer). Be sure to do similarly with your future queries. Probably the most effective way to ensure this is to use the "Plus" tab (+) beside edit this page to generate a properly formatted new query. -- Hope this helps, Deborahjay (talk) 05:03, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
