YVR-Airport Station, formerly YVR Terminal Station, will be one of two southern intermodal termini on the rapid transit Canada Line in Richmond, Canada when that line opens in November 2009. The station will serve both the domestic and international terminals of Vancouver International Airport (YVR), located on Sea Island, and will provide the first direct, transfer-free public transit connection between Downtown Vancouver and the Airport. The station will eventually be connected to a 5-story "link" building under construction as of April 2006. This station will also have links to the large parking lots adjacent to it.
[edit] Funding
The Airport Branch of the Canada Line, known as 'YVR Line' according to the Canada Line Website, will be funded by YVR (Vancouver International Airport Authority) including the stations.
