[edit] Location
Braid Station is located at the northwest corner of Brunette Avenue and Braid Street, just south of the Trans-Canada Highway.
[edit] History
The station was built in 2002 as part of the Millennium Line. Before the Millennium Line was complete, a short spur from Columbia Station was opened in eastern New Westminster, as a test track; Braid Station was the temporary terminus of this spur until the line to Commercial Drive was open to the public.
Each station along the Millennium Line features a unique design, and Braid is no different. Artwork at Braid features wooden timbers inside the platform level, and pavers with inspirational words that imply positive things installed into the station lobby floor.
[edit] Services
This station is a major transfer point for TransLink bus routes serving the northeast sector of the GVRD; these buses serve Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and New Westminster.
