"Your Love Is a Lie" is the second single by Simple Plan from their self-titled third studio album.
The song exists in two versions. One found on deluxe editions of the CD, in which lead singer Pierre Bouvier sings the word "fuck" in the second verse singing "And do you think about me when he fucks you?". In ordinary versions of the CD and for radio play, the word is omitted, and he instead sings "And do you think about me when he touches you?". This is the third song in which Simple Plan use a swear word, the first was their first single "I'm Just a Kid", and their second being their cover of Cheap Trick's "Surrender".

The band flew to Los Angeles to shoot the music video. It was shot on March 6th. The video was directed/produced by Wayne Isham.
The video is a straightforward representation of the song. It intersperses shots of the band playing (later in the video, amid wind-blown blossoms) with shots of a Bouvier's girlfriend, meeting (and presumably having sex) with another man, while Bouvier, betrayed by the woman, waits in agony in his apartment. His apartment has a view of the man's apartment, with a clear view of a bedroom's window, where he sees the woman have an affair.
After 2 weeks, the video had 1,000,000 views on YouTube.[1]
