Yorman Osorio Bazardo (born July 11, 1984 in Maracay Aragua State, Venezuela) is a right-handed pitcher in the Detroit Tigers organization.
A hard thrower and one of the Florida Marlins' highest-ranked pitching prospects, Bazardo made his major league debut for Florida on May 26, 2005.
Since being signed as a free agent in 2000, Bazardo has spent a full season at each tier of the Marlins' low-level affiliates in his first four seasons. He was 7-2 with a 2.43 ERA in the Venezuelan Summer League (2001), 5-0 with a 2.72 ERA in the New York - Penn League (2002), 9-8 with a 3.12 ERA in the South Atlantic League (2003), and 5-9 with a 3.27 ERA in the Florida State League (2004).
At the time of his promotion to the major leagues, Bazardo was 4-2 with a 3.58 ERA in eight starts with the Double-A Carolina Mudcats. He allowed 42 hits and 16 walks while striking out 34 batters in 50 1/3 innings. But Bazardo's big league debut was a rough one. In 1⅔ innings of relief against the Mets, he was tagged for five runs (four earned) on four hits with two walks and a pair of strikeouts. After the game, he was optioned back to Carolina.
Bazardo was traded along with fellow Marlins minor leaguer Mike Flannery to the Seattle Mariners for Ron Villone on July 31, 2005. He finished the season with San Antonio.
In 2006 he was named Missions pitcher of the year after going 6-5 with a 3.64 ERA in 25 starts. He was also selected to the Texas League post season all-star team.
After being designated for assignment by the Mariners, Bazardo was traded to the Detroit Tigers for outfielder Jeff Frazier on February 7, 2007.
