It would be great to add some statistics of YPLL by sex and country. The stats for 2000 are available from the OECD in spreadsheet form.[1] Is there a more recent source somewhere?

Ezra Klein writes about YPLL a bit in comparing different health care systems in his Health of Nation series.[2] Is the use of this statistic an important part of health care debates, are is that specific to him? What are the pros and cons of YPLL versus alternative measures of healthcare outcomes? Crust 15:04, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
