[edit] unprodding
Japanese form of her name (-wikipedia) brings up over 900 google hits, which isn't bad for a piano teacher, including not only commercial sites, but public broadcast sites, academic sites, an interview in Kyoto Shimbun and a short profile in Kobe Shimbun. Now all I have to go on is google translator, but this looks pretty notable to me, so I'm unprodding. It can always be taken to AfD if symptoms persist. --Paularblaster (talk) 13:28, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
- A number of ghits for someone who has a product (her CD) in the mainstream market isn't too unusual, but it is something to provoke a deeper look. Most of the links I saw were either online music stores selling her CD, or announcements of performances she was doing, but performance announcements don't add to notability. The profile helps to show notability, but the Kyoto Shimbun seems to be from a brochure announcing public lectures, which isn't a strong support. There are definitely hints of notability, but I didn't see anything strong enough to support the article, but I also am limited to Google Translator, so there may be stuff out there I didn't dig deep enough to find. I would still support deletion absent any other sources, but not enough to push a deletion debate forward. - Fordan (talk) 04:37, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
