[edit] Who I am
I was born in Rochdale and was educated at the Sint-Romboutscollege, Mechelen, and Douai School, Woolhampton. My higher education was at St Peter's College, Oxford, and I hold BA (hons), MA, Master of Studies and DPhil degrees from the University of Oxford, as well as the Licentiate in History from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. I have held temporary teaching posts at St Kizito Junior Seminary in Malawi, the (now-defunct) Catholic University of Brussels, and a number of adult education centres. My academic research has focused on early modern newspapers, international communication, and translation, particularly involving those who were, or wrote about, prisoners for their faith, exiles and martyrs. I currently teach at the Centre for European Studies, K.U.Leuven.
After tinkering with a few articles that fall within my sphere of expertise, I've decided to go all out and start adding and editing articles on topics that interest me regardless of how ill-informed I am ;-)
Since so many students cannot be restrained from lifting information from wikipedia, I feel I should at least help ensure that the information is sound :-)
My academic publications are listed here.
