Yaroslav Korolev (Russian: Ярослав Королев; born May 7, 1987 in Moscow, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union (present-day Russia)) is a Russian professional basketball player currently playing for Russian Dynamo Moscow.
He was selected 12th overall in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers. Korolev played for CSKA Moscow in the Russian basketball league before joining the Clippers.
Korolev is considered a prototypical team player which is among his advantages as a player. Korolev can speak English without aid of an interpreter. On July 6, 2007 Korolev signed a two-year contract to remain with the Clippers. In September 2007 the Clippers rescinded their contract offer.[1] He then returned to the Clippers during the preseason on a non-guaranteed contract, but was waived before the season began. [2] [3] On December 2007 Korolev signed with Dynamo Moscow[4], his current team.
