On June 5, 2008, WZBZ shifted from rhythmic "99.3 the Buzz" to mainstream Top 40 as "99-3 Kiss FM."
On June 6, 2008, Popular DJ Big Daddy Michael Ray quit 99.3 due to the format shift and the station's popularity as it continues on a steep decrase in listeners after the shift.
