The Morning Crew on ROCK104
WXRR (104.5 FM), also known as "Rock 104", is a classic rock radio station servicing Hattiesburg, Laurel, and several other towns and communities in an area of South Mississippi known as the Pine Belt. WXRR broadcasts with an effective radiated power of 100,000 Watts from a 1000 foot tower, the tallest tower in the Pine Belt.
The station's previous call letters were WHSY when it was owned by Charlie Holt. The station was purchased in 1994 by Blakeney Communications. In its present form, the station signed on for the first time April 1, 1995.

- RockTrax with Doug Morris: Airing Sundays from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., RockTrax is a weekly program of classic rock by request and music news. RockTrax also includes trivia, the almanac (a look at this day in rock history) and news from the light side. RockTrax is hosted by long-time Pine Belt broadcaster Doug Morris, who should not be confused with the Universal Music Group executive with the same first and last name.
- Southern Miss athletics: WXRR is currently in a multi-year contract as the flagship station for The University of Southern Mississippi football and men's basketball. In addition to carrying live coverage of the football and basketball teams' games, WXRR also airs coach's talk shows with Larry Fedora and Larry Eustachy. Effective 2006, WXRR will carry a number of Southern Miss baseball games; the remaining baseball broadcasts can be heard on WXRR's sister station, WXHB (96.5).

Since WXRR signed on for the first time in its current form, the station has used the slogan, "Broadcasting from the birthplace of rock and roll." According to the Rolling Stone Illustrated History of Rock and Roll, Hattiesburg was home to brothers Blind Roosevelt Graves and Uaroy Graves. The Graves Brothers, along with piano player Cooney Vaughn recorded, two songs in 1936 that "featured fully formed rock and roll guitar riffs and a stomping rock and roll beat."
