WUFT-FM 89.1 is an NPR member radio station owned by the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, broadcasting classical music and news from NPR. WUFT-FM first signed on in 1981.

Since 1995, WUFT also operated WJUF 90.1 FM, licensed to Inverness in Citrus County as a full-time repeater, under the moniker Nature Coast 90.

WUFT broadcasts with 100,000 watts of effective power, and reaches the following counties in north-central Florida: Alachua, Union, Bradford, Gilchrist, Levy, Marion, Putnam, Clay, Columbia, Lafayette and Dixie. WJUF broadcasts with 20,000 watts of effective power, and reaches Sumter, Hernando, Citrus and Pasco counties.

WUFT also broadcasts an HD signal which counter-programs their standard content. During hours in which the main stream is carrying music, the HD stream features talk or public affairs, and vice versa.

WUFT is known for its eclectic mix of music programming, from Classical and Jazz to Folk, World Music and Blues. Bill Becket's Caravan defies classification, and a Friday afternoon request show allows listeners to select what is played.

The station has largely ignored an unwritten rule of public radio which discourages broadcast of organ or vocal music. In fact, in addition to carrying Pipe Dreams, a two hour organ music show, WUFT devotes 52 Saturdays per year to opera and vocal music, airing Live from the Met and "NPR World of Opera" as well as broadcasts from Chicago Lyric Opera, Los Angeles Opera and the Bayreuth Festival. WUFT announcer/producer Dana Hill hosts The Pre-Opera Program on Saturday afternoon, dedicated to choral music and art song. On Monday evenings the station carries Music of the 20th Century, produced by Henri Pensis, dedicated to 20th Century art music. Richard Drake hosts the popular morning music program Fanfare.

WUFT has two call-in shows: Sikorski's Attic hosted by antiques expert John Sikorski, and Connor Calling, featuring host Hank Connor talking to an array of authors.
