WTDR (92.7 FM, "Thunder 92.7") is a radio station licensed to serve Talladega, Alabama, USA. The station is owned by Jacobs Broadcast Group, Inc. It airs a Country music format.[2]
The station was assigned the WTDR call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on October 25, 2000.[1]
On November 16, 2005, the station was granted a construction permit to change the station's community of license to Munford, Alabama. The station's effective radiated power would be reduced to 250 watts but the tower would be raised to a height above average terrain of 481.2 meters (1579 feet) located at 33°29'06"N, 85°48'32"W, on the top of Mount Cheaha, the highest point in the state of Alabama. This permit expires on November 16, 2008.
