WQSV

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

WQSV (790 AM) is a radio station broadcasting in Ashland City, Tennessee, United States. Power is limited by the presence of clear channel station WMC on the same frequency in Memphis, less than 200 airline miles (320 km) distant.

[edit] History

There have been several callsigns and formats over the years; the current one consists primarily of Southern gospel music and Christian preaching, primarily from a conservative evangelical Protestant viewpoint. The callsign is derived from "Wonderful Quaint Sycamore Valley" and alludes to the location of Ashland City near the confluence of Sycamore Creek with the Cumberland River, and the controlling company is Sycamore Valley Broadcasting.

The station is an affiliate of the Tennessee Titans radio network.[1]
