[edit] Major promotion status

WEC, now being owned by the UFC, can be considered a major promotion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.106.10.215 (talkcontribs)

I'd like to think of a major promotion as one that can have a credible claim that their champions are the best in the world, or among the best, or at least can pay top dollar for talent. WEC doesn't fit that yet. hateless 16:03, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
