[edit] Speedy deletion of Yippikya
A tag has been placed on Yippikya, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD G11.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. WriterListener 19:21, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
Please do not add commercial material to Wikipedia, as you did to Yippikya. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. --Finngall talk 21:06, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

- (Copying discussion from the article talk page in case it gets deleted before you see it there:)
- Yippikya is a social networking site. MySpace has a Wiki entry, StumbleUpon has an entry, Facebook has an entry. Why should Yippikya be excluded?

- These other sites are clearly notable, having been the subject of numerous articles in a variety of sources. A cursory Google search reveals no references that are independent of this company, and therefore there is nothing to indicate that Yippikya is notable enough to merit an encyclopedia article.
- The articles for these other sites are written objectively, from a neutral point of view, and all information therein is verifiable from multiple independent reliable sources. The Yippikya article like a press release. --Finngall talk 21:22, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
