[edit] History

WOAD began broadcasting in 1988. At that time, WOAD was an AM station broadcasting at 1400 kHz. In 1997, WOAD swapped frequencies with WKXI, thus moving to the more powerful 1300 kHz.

In January, 2004, WOAD made its move to FM. Even though WOAD can still be heard at 1300 kHz, the station's current band is 105.9 MHz.
